Hour of Code

If you haven’t already got involved it is now time to get started. I know it’s near the end of term and that the days are already packed but this is a win win activity.

Visit https://uk.code.org/learn and choose the activity you would like to try. The choice is fantastic and really appealing including Star Wars, Minecraft, Code with Anna and Elsa, Flappy bird, Disney Infinity and many others with less appealing names but equally exciting. The activities come with teacher notes and have a recommended age; usually 6 or 8.
Each session starts with a video and then progresses to using Blockly in a structured tutorial style. Be It’s a self contained activity so teachers/TA skills don’t need to be fantastic! Have a go.
I’d love to know how you get on and which project worked well in your school!
