Music Production
Our dedicated Avid Pro-Tools recording studio is available for training workshops in music and audio production and is also offered as a fantastic resource for schools and commercial hire. We can provide training in Cubase, Logic Pro/Express, Reason, Garageband, Ableton LIVE!, Audacity, Soundtrack Pro and AVID Pro Tools.
3D Animation & Video VFX
We are able to offer computer graphics training in various industry-standard VFX applications including Maxon Cinema 4D, Vue, Apple Motion and Adobe After Effects.
Apple iLife
The Apple iLife suite has revolutionised entry and intermediate level creative and media software. A comprehensive set of applications designed specifically for projects involving digital photography, video editing, music composition, radio and podcast production, web-design and DVD creation are all offered as part of the suite. Training sessions are offered in any or all applications within the iLife suite and are delivered by Apple Distinguished Educators.
Soundbeam
The Soundbeam is an innovative "instrument" which uses a variety of infrared sensors and physical switches to trigger everything from musical sequences to lighting displays. Originally invented for use by professional music & dance performance artists, the Soundbeam has found a unique place within education and particularly SEN.
The system offers teachers and students new opportunities for contemporary forms of composition and group music making. It has been shown to benefit children and adults with a range of conditions and syndromes including Autism, ADHD, dementia, Down’s Syndrome, Rett’s Syndrome, depression, Alzheimer’s Disease and challenging behaviours.
Soundbeam provides a medium through which even profoundly physically or learning impaired individuals can become expressive and communicative using music and sound. The sense of control and independence which this provides can be a powerful motivator, stimulating learning and interaction in other areas.
The e-Learning Centre is offering to provide workshops and training sessions using the Soundbeam to teachers and pupils of all ages and abilities.

Photography & Digital Image Editing
Using our excellent photographic studio facilities, we are able to provide hands-on training using the latest compact and DSLR cameras. We can explore choice of equipment, setting up a shoot, set design, lighting and storage. We are also able to provide training in the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements and can provide a selection of Wacom graphics tablets for use during sessions if required.
Podcasting
The concept is simple: You use a microphone and a simple, inexpensive, piece of audio software to record and produce a sharable broadcast - a "Podcast"! You can make a podcast about virtually any subject, add photos or videos and share them with others or upload to the web. Podcasting is a great way of engaging pupils, documenting teaching and learning experiences and encouraging communication between students, teachers and even between schools around the world.
Game Design (inc. iPhone/iPad)
Playing computer games may look a lot of fun.....that's because they ARE fun! We can offer training and workshops in various game design engines including Game Salad for Apple iPod, iPhone and iPad. Additionally, we can offer workshops in character design, animation, graphics, music composition and sound design for games - a full package! What better way to engage pupils and extend learning.
TV Studio and Video Editing
Our professional TV studio is equipped with a 9 metre wide "Green-Screen" chroma-key wall and HD camera rig.
We can provide training in Adobe Premiere & Premiere Elements, Apple Final Cut Pro & FC Express and Apple iMovie, as well as Windows Movie Maker and other entry-level applications.
